Dressers RW Hayward | Dresser Makers in Cheshire
Here is a small selection of dressers that we make ourselves here at the workshop in Blakemere
The House Keepers cupboard is a close copy of three pieces made by George Ashton cabinet maker of Tattenhall Cheshire between 1880-1900, his claim to fame is that he signed one of them. It is made from English oak cross banded with old Cuban mahogany, the contrasting colours give the piece a striking appearance.
Standing seven feet six inches high by five feet wide weighing in at about three cwt of timber and taking a skilled man about three weeks to make, the cost of this piece is £5000. The problem with trying to sell furniture of such high quality is 99% of people who can appreciate the furniture are capable of making it.
Mackintosh dressers are available with various combinations of draws and doors, also with glazed tops. We also produce Classic English Victorian dresser bases in English oak and Arts and Crafts dressers in Cherry
Dressers take around 12 weeks to deliver
